About the section of translated poems...

This is a section where some of my poems that have been translated into English are posted. As they are translated, I plan to update this section by adding one or two poems at a time. Our poems available in a universal language! I want my poems to participate in that movement. Also, overseas acquaintances will play a role in introducing my literature and me. The most important reason that I decided to include this section is for my daughter who is abroad and for her acquaintances.

* Poet Hyangji Lee was born in Tongyoung, Korea in 1942, graduated from Pusan National University in 1967, and started her literary career by publishing in Monthly Literature in 1989. Her collections of poems include A Cricket in Parentheses (Modern World Publishing Co., 1992), The Sound of the Wind in Gujolri (World Publishing Co., 1995), and a collection of poems about mountains entitled The Way Water Goes and the Ways the Wind Goes (Nanam Publishing Co., 2001). Her joint writings about mountains are The Kumgang Mountain Calls (Chosun Daily Newspaper Publishing Co., 1998) and The Baekdu Mountains, I Walk on the Map (Changhae Publishing Co, 2001).
